Tree of life.

As someone who loves learning and loves trees, I can relate to this newest jewelry trend.  This particular style of jewelry is becoming more and more popular today throughout the world. Its meaning is different for everyone and there are tons of different shapes and styles that people are wearing.

Fashion is constantly changing, but the simple meaning behind a lot of pieces like the mustard seed necklace or the evil eye bracelets doesn’t change.  Similarly Tree of Life jewelry has been around for eons.

So, why is it becoming more and more popular? Let’s take a look as to why, where, and what makes it so desirable.

What Does It Mean?

The Tree of life has a variety of meanings which includes knowledge, wisdom, and an insight within one’s self. It is a symbol to obtain focus in a quest to find awareness and knowledge.

The ability to maintain a focus is to be aware of what is going on around you, to find that meditative state. Some will aspire to find this focus by wearing a necklace or a charm of some sort.  There is anything from rings, to earring designs or bracelet designs with the tree of life.

Breaking down the meaning of tree of life jewelry can be a bit confusing to some.  There are also spiritual and religious meanings to many.  

Where Does it come from?

The design is associated with both religious and spiritual beliefs. In Buddhism, theBodhi tree is where Buddha received enlightenment. The symbol is associated with wisdom in the book of Proverbs. The Nordic cultures believed the tree of life is a magical fount on knowledge.

Why Do People Like Tree of Life Jewelry?

The reason I personally like it pertains to knowledge and wisdom. I love to learn and to improve myself in every way.   Wearing this reminds me to continually pursue my quest of knowledge.  But what about others?  Why are they wearing it?

Whether religious meaning or personal enlightenment, it’s clear this is a lasting jewelry trend.   I’m seeing more and more symbols and references to the tree in modern jewelry designs. 

While we don’t currently carry any tree of life jewelry pieces at the moment, my suspicion is that we will be seeing it incorporated in designs in the future. 

So the next time you see someone wearing a beautiful tree design, ask them if they know what it means.  Chances are, they don’t know themselves.
